Lisa Cordasco is the Clinical Director at Enlightened Solutions. Lisa started at Enlightened Solutions as a primary therapist shortly after the agency’s opening and was promoted to Clinical Director in 2017. Lisa has worked with individuals with mental health and addiction issues for many years at both the inpatient and outpatient levels of care. Lisa utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work with clients and pulls from multiple skill sets including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and acceptance based behavioral therapies, such as DBT, as well as psychodrama and experiential therapies. Lisa believes in tailoring her approaches and interventions used to the specific needs of each client. Lisa is a person in long-term recovery herself and finds it deeply rewarding to help others find their path to personal healing and growth.
Lisa received her Master’s Degree in social work from Fordham University in New York, NY. She is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical drug and alcohol counselor in the state of NJ. Lisa graduated summa cum laude after studying clinical social work, with a specialization in addictions and a strong focus in trauma informed care. Lisa has also earned her certification as a clinical trauma professional with the International Association for Trauma Professionals and specializes in treatment of individuals struggling with both trauma and addiction. Upon coming to Enlightened Solutions, she has implemented a “trauma track”. In addition, Lisa also became EAGALA certified during her time with ES and engages clients in this specific equine assisted therapy at Hope Farm.
