In recovery, there are lots of people ready and willing to help you get started on detox, treatment, and finding out everything you need to know about your particular situation so that you can be successful in your journey to recovery.
Therapy sessions are scheduled for you by a therapist, and any other group counseling activities are orchestrated as well. At the beginning of your treatment sessions, we perform dual diagnoses, so you know exactly what our goals are for your personal situation, and we plan from there. Everything we do in recovery is based on a plan that is customized for each person every step of the way.
What we teach you can go a long way…
After your residential, partial care, or intensive outpatient program here at Enlightened Solutions, there are some things you’ll need to help you fit into your lifestyle that is now committed to sober living. Enlightened Solutions teaches our clients what they need to know about living sober lives that are so full of enjoyable moments that no one would want to go back to their addiction. We strive to reach the ultimate level of satisfaction in our lives by exploring all that the world has to offer us that could bring us joy and enrich our minds, while taking care of the earth that provides those things for us. Everything we learn is about cleansing the mind, body, and soul so that we can strip our lives of stress and loneliness and open our hearts to love and acceptance. A dedicated recovery plan will help each recovering addict gain control over their lives and make those beautiful things start to happen. The more we understand what we’re dealing with, the better we can learn the right skills to combat the points that create difficulty within ourselves and our relationships. We absorb everything and learn to filter out all but the things that are best for us to bring into our everyday lives.
In recovery, we learn to respect the world around us and the feelings of others, and to do no harm to ourselves or to those around us. At the end of your recovery program, you will have accumulated a wide variety of necessary tools and skills that will benefit you in the long-term.
We think of these questions when we work with our clients on their vision for the future:
- How do you imagine your sober living lifestyle will look?
- Do you have faith that you can uphold your promises to do better?
- What are the activities and self-sustainable treatments you’ve learned here that you would like to adapt for your life at home?
- What are some of the most joyful experiences you’ve had in recovery?
- How can you find joy in your life after residential recovery?
- Who would you call on for support (family, friends, sponsors)?
- Do you have a plan in place when you notice signs of relapsing?
- What are your long-term goals in recovery?
- Are there things in your life that may get in the way of your recovery goals? How do we fix that?
Each day, we want you to live a life that makes you feel productive, happy, and fulfilled. You’ve learned a bit about the 12-step philosophy, now think about how you can incorporate those steps into the life you’ve imagined going forward. The steps are designed as a guide to keep you on track and allow you to take stock of every experience and feeling you’ve had in recovery. As we create your treatment plan, we will implement the foundation of awareness, being mindful of everything around you as it benefits overall wellness. We must recognize the things that are working at home and those that are not. Your recovery planning counselor will work with you on implementing a plan that will make your life blossom into something you’ll want to get up every morning and experience.
The lifestyle, environment, and people we surround ourselves with can be just as toxic as drugs and alcohol if they’re enabling of this damaging life. To help ourselves succeed in recovery, we must remove everything that could suck us back into that destructive thought process. In recovery, we work hard to overcome the habit that says we need substances to cope, and instead train our bodies to embrace healthy nutrition, wellness exercises, and external experiences that bring us happiness or remove emotional clutter from our spirit.
Recovery planning will help you manage your life the way you need so that sobriety is possible, supported, and ultimately gives you everything you need in life to find joy everywhere you go. We check in with you multiple times during your first few months of recovery to see if there are any tips we can provide or outside services that can help support the life you want to live full of beauty and well-being. Think back to everything you’ve learned about nurturing your environment; fill your mind with happiness and strength through your program. Our clients are changed by recovery, because they learn things they never thought they could, such as how to communicate effectively, and how to integrate themselves into community activities so that they become responsible, caring, and happy adults free of addiction.
